Winter often feels heavy and dim, but this Solar Radiance Tea is crafted to bring brightness and upliftment to your days. In this recipe, you’ll learn how to blend herbs that embody light and warmth: calendula, lemon balm, and ginger. Create a brew that radiates vitality and releases the essence of summer even on the darkest days. Master the skill of selecting herbs for their energetic qualities and balancing flavors to create a tea that nourishes both body and spirit.

I find myself turning to herbal teas as daily rituals, each blend a reflection of the season’s energy. This inspired me to continue my Brew of the Month series! This month I am sharing Solar Radiance Tea, a blend designed to chase away winter gloom and infuse your body with golden brightness. It is warming, uplifting but at the same time grounding. A perfect blend of energetics sure to bring you a moment of peace this month.

Herbal Breakdown

Add a pinch of each for a single serving.

Calendula Blossoms

Calendula is the golden heart of this blend, offering both beauty and healing. Known for its skin-supportive and anti-inflammatory properties, calendula brings a touch of summer sunshine to your cup. Watching the blossoms unfurl in hot water is a ritual in itself, like inviting light into the darker days. Energetically, calendula is a flower of joy, helping to lift spirits and soothe the body.

Lemon Balm Leaf

Lemon balm is the herb of calm radiance. With its bright citrusy flavor, it uplifts mood while easing stress and anxiety. Rich in antioxidants and antiviral properties, lemon balm supports immunity and digestion, making it a perfect winter ally. Its gentle lemony notes harmonize beautifully with calendula’s floral sweetness, creating a brew that feels both refreshing and grounding.

Ginger Root

Ginger adds the spark to this recipe. Warming, stimulating, and invigorating, it enhances circulation and digestion while chasing away the chill of winter. Its spicy kick balances the floral and citrus notes, creating a dynamic blend that awakens the senses. Ginger is also a powerful anti-inflammatory and immune booster, ensuring your body stays resilient through the season.

Enjoy Your Cup of Tea!

A simple how to…

When I make my tea blends, I like to prepare enough for a few brews, but you can always add a pinch of each herb directly to your cup for a single serving. Dried herbs are best for storage, though fresh herbs bring their own vibrancy if you have them on hand.

  • ¼ cup calendula blossoms (or one to three blossoms per cup added with the water)

  • ¼ cup lemon balm leaves

  • 2 tbsp ginger root (dried pieces or freshly grated)

And there you have it—a radiant brew to brighten your winter days! This Solar Radiance Tea is more than a beverage; it’s a ritual of light, warmth, and joy. With every sip, you invite the golden glow of calendula, the calming brightness of lemon balm, and the fiery spark of ginger into your body.

As the days grow short and the nights long, let this tea be your daily sunbeam. A blend that warms your body, uplifts your spirit, and reminds you of the light that always returns.

Happy brewing, and may your winter be filled with radiance and renewal!
